Why are the cories always swimming against the glass?

A few of mine do that as well. They seem OK otherwise. In the short time that I have been keeping corydoras I have felt that their behaviour is difficult to assess because they do so many strange things. I have seen everything from "hopping" around, digging, surfing from waterfalls, swimming into waterfalls, lining up, swimming upside down, figuring out how to get food from the surface . . . you get the idea. In general though corydoras seem to be very active fish. Because of their active nature I would personally not want to keep them in anything smaller than a 20g long aquarium.

I agree !!!

The bigger the tank the better, and they do LOVE the company of other cories !!! The more the better!!! :)

The only thing i add is if tou have a sharp substrate be careful!!
They do like to dig so very fine gravel or sand work's better!!!

I had to euthanize one of my first, through the wrong substrate!!
