Why dose macros and micros on different days?

I have seen it suggested here by many of the more experienced plant keepers to dose macro and micro nutrients on different days. Why is that?

Some ferts can cause others to ppt out, leading to some brief haze and the tank and requiring re-solution at unknown rates.
