Why is Dextrose in Salt

Yup that is why I use Lite Salt. Gives me 340 mg of Potassium per 1/4 teaspoon and gives me about a years worth of Potassium rich fertilizer for $1. Better than paying my LFS $8 for some fertilizer that lasts a month or so.

thank you for the correction larissa, and HP. Mermaidens question though, simply said table salt. So yeah, obviously I wasnt paying attention  but now she learned 2 new things (and me one :) )

Oh right, I didn't catch that. Sorry, Fishy. Anyway, I'm only now starting to venture into live plants myself so I'm pretty clueless when it comes to ferts, additives, etc.

Hrm, so why use Morton's Lite? NoSalt/NuSalt don't have dextrose OR salt, which you really don't need:

Potassium chloride
Potassium bitartrate
adipic acid
silicon dioxide
mineral oil
fumaric acid

IMO you're adding to your TDS and salting yer fish :) I'm telling Dave!

Roan

I looked for the other product but could not find it. Salt Morton's Lite Salt and the ingredient list satisfied me (nothing that can harm the fish at the dosage I will use) so I bought the product. Nu/No Salt has lots of organic acids in it so you are adding to your Total Organic Compounds and Increasing your TDS Roan! I am telling Dave also!

Hmmm, for humans mineral oil can be a laxitive in a good dosage. I wonder what that does for our fishy friends? Don't let your pleco get ahold of it.
