I have a spotted cory and what I think is a green, or emerald cory cat. My spotted one just likes to chill and will scavenge around with the emerald when he feels like it, but the emerald will sometimes just start swimming around like crazy. He usually stays close to the glass and goes up and down and side to side and in circles and zigzags, you get the idea. Why? I'm not really concerned just curious. my waters fine and he's been doing this for a while. The other cory hardly swims around at all, only when he's hungery it seems.

it is just the way the emeralds are. I have two and they do the same thing, one minute they are nice and calm next BOOOM off to the races. I think they are great.

I have 5 leopard cories, 1 Agassiz cory and 1 Julii cory. The leopards often "rest" in their quiet area. The Agassiz is almost ALWAYS on the move and the Julii (Ziggy) is a bubbling riding maniac. He spends almost ALL his time riding the bubbles in the bubble wand. I wanted to take the thing out because it's really not necessary, but he seems to be having a lot of fun and I don't want to rain on his parade.

All of the corycats spaz from time to time. I think it's just their way of saying WOOPEE!! I feel GOOD! (da da da dada)

During feeding time, the Agassiz (his name is Fu) will swim to the top of the tank, roll upside down so his mouth is at the surface, and skim the top of the water. If I'm feeding frozen bloodworms (I dip a spoon into them and then into the tank) he'll swim to the spoon and eat right off the end of it. If it's flakes or something that floats, I take a pinch and stick them under the water so they sink. He'll swim up and eat right from my fingers. The barbules feel neat on your fingers :)

The leopards and the Julii school very tightly at feeding time and eat off the bottom.

My bronze and albinos often have little fits of crazyness. My spooted almost never does. Nothing to worry about.
