Mixing lakes is not an intellegent thing to do, eventually there will be problems. You can not measure success by a few months or even a year, many of the Tangs take several years to mature. Go ahead and mix the lakes if you want, but don't advocate doing it. If you sit there and advocate this I'm sure you would be the ones to also say its fine to have Koi with Red Bellied Piranha.
