So around 1.5 weeks ago i purchased a wild pair of Betta Channoides, but they dont seem to be too interested in any of the foods i offer, except for a little bit of blood worms...

Foods include: Frozen Blood Worms ; NLS 1mm pellets for finicky eaters, and nutrafin max

So im just curious if any one else owns these fish and what they are feeding them, since while the rest of my tank buzzes to life when food hits the water, these two come out look around and seem to be fairly uninterested....

So any tips to get them eating would be very much welcome...

You need some livebearer fry ASAP. They need live food, but not to fear you can convert them to frozen. I would use livebearer fry, moquito larva, white worms, grindal worms, scuds and such. You can find any of those on Aquabid Food-Live

Im on my way to the LFS now in hopes they are still open to see if i can find any sort of live foods although will be unlikely...

I guess in the mean time i'll have to try and target feed them the bloodworms till i can work something out, since most shops will be closed tomorrow being new years day...

Anyway, thanks for the help, appreciate it...

Oh and i live in Hong Kong so aqua bid sadly isnt much use for me ;)

Well the LFS was closed today being new years eve and tmr most will be closed, so i guess i'm going to have to try my luck with the blood worms over the next few days at least...

Maybe grab some shrimp fry from your planted tank.

Yeah, i might have to do that if worst comes to worst... Since i dont think i have any pregnant females in the 60G atm, plus went to the LFS today but no luck on live foods as expected...

So if by the weekend i cant get any live foods on fish street, going to have to start fishing out lower quality CRS to feed them...

Good news, finally saw him picking at some blood worms off the bottom of the tank... Took him quite a while but he seems a little interested so maybe not all hope is lost if he keeps eating them...

^ thankfully yes they are, although they seem a little bit slow to get to the food though...

Its like they almost seem to lock on and target the bloodworms before eating them which is quite funny to watch..
