Im putting together a 20g Nano tank and picked up a power sweep powerhead off a buddy, Can I get away with just using this for now? or should I get another one?

I would think that would be plenty, just make sure the flow covers the widest area possible. But more is always better, and they are fairly inexpensive. But I think you could get away with it.

Powersweeps tend to stop sweeping after a few months according to most reports and reviews I've come across.

A good concept, but two say Maxijet 400s facing each other would be far more reliable.

Only had mine a month, and it is still sweeping. I think if you keep them clean they will perform better. I accidently got some debris in mine, and it stopped sweeping. Cleaned it out, and it works fine. I also read those reviews, but I think those were older models. We'll see.

Even if it quits sweeping, it is still moving water.

i had one of those about 2 years ago i guess and after 3 months it stopped sweeping. i took it apart and cleaned it all up but it still didnt sweep. but yeah, even if it does stop working it still is moving water. i would still suggest picking up another powerhead tho. you want to turn your water over a bare minimum of 10 times per hour.
