Just what it says - Will a Red Tail Shark (common FW fish) mess with / or eat snails? Anybody know for sure? Thanks, Arkangel77

No, but if they did eat snails I'm sure they'd be more popular than ever... They are a territorial fish though, and need a fair bit of swimming space relative to their size.

I'm pretty sure that when I had mine, he didn't bother the Briggs that I had in there with him. Never noticed any missing antenna or anything. So from my experience, I would say no.

i totally mis-read what you were talking about in your pm to me. Still ahve no clue as I don't keep these either, but I thought you means Red tailed catfish, LOL....big difference.

lol...yeah...then I would definately say you would have an issue.

I don't keep briggs in a community tank anymore 'cuz the fish (various tetras, swordtails, rainbows, gouramis, angels) would nip at the antenna. My guess would be red tail shark would also but maybe not if it's fed enough. How's THAT for an answer? Maybe yes, maybe no:hypnotized:
