Will a small Discus be OK in a 20G?

Bettas are really pretty. I think, frankly, females are just as colorful as the males, so you could have a few of them in your tank.
You could also just get more fancy guppies :)
 
There is a general rule that 10 gallons per Discus is OK.
I don't agree with that at all. Discus need to be kept in shools...
At the very minimum of 3 fish (I wouldn't have just 3).. I have 8 in my 80 gallon and that is the maximum. The larger the water 'column', the better it is on the fish. Smaller aquariums water parameters are easily thrown off.

Hope this very basic posting makes some sense....
