Currently, im housing about 60 ghost shrimp in a 27 gallon. they're breeding like crazy, and im thinking about placing them in my 720 gallon tank filled with 10 large plecos. so before i sacrifice a couple shrimps and snails, do you think the plecos will eat them?

I don't know about plecos but angels will definitely eat ghost shrimp. Assuming plecos won't eat them (which I'm not sure is the case) you'll be able to keep as many shrimp as there are hiding places for them. Otherwise, any shrimp out in the open is a potential angel snack. I've seen mine swimming around the tank with a .5 inch long ghost shrimp tail sticking out of his mouth......this was when the angel was only about 2 inches long. It was pretty funny. But, yeah, if they see them, and they're hungry, they'll go for them.

Since you're having success breeding them, why not leave them where they are and thin their numbers by using them as feeders?

i already bonded with them....i cant just let em get eaten. i saw the 1600 gallon behemoth planted tank in the plant section, and the owner has 1000 amano shrimp and 64 altum angelfish together.

angels cruise around the whole tank but they spend the majority fo tehir time around the top. they will probably eat a couple every now and then, so dont add all of your ghost shrimp to your tank; leave a couple to "replenish the herd"

as for the plecos, i would imagine that they would too

darn

yeah, plecos will suck up ghost shrimp. If you have species of pleco that like meaty foods, more will get sucked up. Vampires and commons come to mind, I've seen both take ghost shrimp.
