Will apple snails eat MTS?

I have an apple snail that I saw with a trumpet snail shell sticking up out of his mouth. Made him look like he was a unicorn. He was apparently eating the contents. I think the MTS was already dead before the apple snail got it, but I'm wondering, will apple snails eat living snails?

I have never seen them do it. I agree, probably scavenging.

I wish!!! I would have a LOT fewer MTS.
I would guess the MTS was already dead, and the brig just couldn't pass on a free meal.

depends on species too. Most commonly available will not
