I feed my fish and my snail veggies at least a couple times a week, they LOVE peas, lettuce, spinache, green beans, if it's green they'll eat it! :dance2: Well I'm sitting here next to my tank eating a big bowl of grapes and wondering, do fish eat fruit? If so what will they eat? I have platies, dwarf corydoras and snail. Thanks!!! :dance2:

I heard the pleco eats fruits. I think it was on the discovry Ch but when a fruit falls off the tree the pleco would attach itself to it and suck on it for days.

Give it a try, cut it in small pices and drop one at a time.

wouldnt the wqter go sticky? lol

I've seen fish being fed citrus fruits as well...float slices of orange and the fish nibble away. :)

One of my customers feeds grapes to her pacu. Big old monster loves 'em.

Our Pacu LOVES grapes...but will only eat green ones, won't even look at red ones. He also loves watermelon and strawberries (but only if the green tops are cut off!)

That's curious...you'd think that the purple grapes would be way more attractive to fish. LOL! :D

I know it's a bit late, but I guess late info is still good info...

I peeled two seedless jumbo green grapes and gave one each to my marbled crays (they love them). It kinda started a mini power struggle as my sword tails tried to get their share.

Go figure, swordtails like grapes too. I put one in for them and they have been pecking at it and pushing it around the tank for the better part of 20 minutes.

I'm adding it to the "treats" list.
