Will it still work?

Hey guys as ya know just got a bunch of plants for my 10g about 10 of them and i have this Big als plant food from along time ago when my dad tryed to put live plants in the death trap of a tank lol that i had when i was younger, anyway it is about i would say anywhere between ....4-6 years old and i was wonderin with it still have any affect on helping my plants?

I put some in my tank a day ago and every thing is fine so it is not toxic to my fish i just do not know if it still works on the plants what do ya'll think ?

If it is 4-6 years old I would chuck it. Most things lose their potency over time, especially if it is a liquid. It probably has no toxic effects, but more than likely has very little good effects.

To be honest I'd probably toss it out myself. I don't know if the stuff is expired or not, but I figure if it's that old then why take the chance. If your just looking for a micro to dose I'd go ahead and get some flourish.
