Will Menard's Flourescent lights work for a standerd Fresh water tank or even I plant

Well Im running a home business so I would be running these light strips on a few 20 gallon Aquariums, Im building a rack to put the Aquariums on. Im going to be alot of different plants coming in and out so there really no way of saying what types of plants.

And I also plan on cutting the stems on the plant to grow more plants.

T12 = 12/8 = 1.5 inch
T8 = 8/8 = 1 inch
T5= 5/8= 5/8 inch

measure of tube diameter
t2= 1/4 inch

4' t-8 bulbs are brighter, take less space, are common and therefore reliable/marketable/good quality/inexpensive. you can't really out do a 4' t-8 in the right spectrum without paying more than the difference up front.

Wow, had to read that twice...Yes, it's hard to improve on a T-8 without significant $$ up front.

If this is a business people will visit it might be worth getting the 'nicer looking' t8 fixtures...at least eventually.

With one shoplight over 2 20H tanks, you should be able to grow low and some med light plants just fine.
