as the title says really. i am picking up a moonlight this weekend if all goes well and they are ok together. aqadvisor doesnt bring up any issues with them and neons in the same tank but want to make sure.

any fish with a large enough mouth can eat a fish that will fit, even peaceful fish. That's not to say they will but it is possible

My cousin has a moonlight gourami (not very bid, 4") with neons and the neons have started to disappear.. There aren't any other fish in there that should be able to kill the neons.

hmmm, not looking good then. it is between 4-5" long right now so i daresay it would snack on them all. il stick with the pearl gourami then. thanks for the information. is there any other gourami that will live peacefully with the neons or should i just stick to the pearls? i have a small female pearl at the moment, only around 2" at most.

yes i like the honeys, not so keen on the dwarfs, have been tempted by them in the past, but i was hopefully going to have something a little larger than that. ive heard loads of people keep fully grown pearls in with small fish such as neons with no issues. i also have a ton of live plants in there so fingers crossed it works out.
