Will Red Phantom Tetras color up after purchase?

Mine gets them all the time. I never buy them though because they are like $2 each.

I've read somewhere that tetras color best in a PH around 6.5. I could be wrong, but about a day after I lowered my PH, my Lemon Tetras adn Von Rios have really vibrant colors.

This is true. They originated from waters which are soft and acidic. Try a leaf litter of Indian almond leaves.:lol2:
