Will Rocks and No Plants Work for Decorations?

Well, Gouramis tend to like to hang out in floating plants--it gives them good places to hide. While they will go to the bottom of the tank, it is unusual to see them hiding in a cave or in rocks, unless they are higher in the tank. Tiger barbs will go anywhere and everywhere--they find gouramis fins--the ones that look like feelers--to be irresistable! Nip, Nip, Nip! Just look at Grundy's tank--tiger barbs go best with other tiger barbs, or at least with fish that are fast and have short fins--which does not include gouramis.

I've been pretty lucky...my golden gouramie has really long "feelers" and the barbs don't go near it!

I wish I had the space for Grundy's tank...but then I'd have an Oscar and wouldn't have the pleasure of talking to you all.
