Well my pictus catfish is gone come tomorrow cause its attacking my ropefish every second i look at my tank. I want to know if I can use a few corry's as my bottom feeders and have them not be eatten by my ropefish? If they will what are some other bottom feeders that will not become lunch and not as aggresive as my pictus was.

Also be aware that the corydoras have a dorsal spine that can be locked into place. It's a good defense mechanism and could be fatal if your ropefish decided to go for it.

Good bottom feeders are deep bodied fish, if your tank is large enough try a syno species. Matches the african theme (ropefish and syno), but i don't know what else you have in our tank.
By the look of those species they look like they need a HUGE tank. Unfortnetly I only have a 55 Gallon. So i might just go with 2-3 corys. Ill just try to find some mature ones that arent too small.

Thanks, thats a good bit of information to know and will defintely stay in my head when i pick them out.

Based on my experience I would say no, even so I suspect it depends on the temprement and size of the rope fish. Over the years mine has dined lavishly oeating all my platies, all my tetras and all my zebra danios and half of my rosy barbs, but it has never touched my corys. The vast majority of casualties occur on the first night of a new fishes arrival, once bitten twice shy seems to be the rule here.
