Will Shrimp Help Control Algae

I have several other tanks set up, just bare bottom and slate but the two Angels will only spawn in this tank so far. I let them do their thing wait about an hour and then remove the eggs to another site to hatch. This pair is young and are not very good parents like the other 8 pair I have.

Beats me why they prefer this set up?

I have a pair that once they lay their eggs start fighting with eachother as if they were the danger and forget about my goldspot plec

would an aquarium magnet work?

Aquarium magnet does work for the glass, my main concern is when the algae blooms it can be a mess in this tank. I'm currently taking measures to control algae via chemicals, installing an in-line sterilizer.
