Will snails harm the bacteria on bio balls?

Hey was wondering if anyone knows if snails will harm the beneficial bacteria on bio balls? I have some that have managed to grow up and reproduce in my bio balls and have debated wether to leave or remove.

more snails = more food for the bacteria

physical handling won't hurt the bacteria, just watch out for things like too high heat, drying out, lack of food, and presence of chlorine or other antibacterial products.

NO they cant the bacteria is securely attached to the meida and the snails wont hurt it.
