Will this light work?

Is this light okay for a moderately-heavily planted tank? (Something like this) I don't think it is, but I'm not familiar with T5, do WPG not apply? because it only would have 1.8 WPG. It was donated to a project I'm working on (see sig,) I asked for a PC, but the guy in the fish department told the manager it would work, so I have it now. I don't want to take it back if I don't have to though :wall: since it was kindly donated.

To make matters worse, they special order the light! So I feel bad even thinking of returning it :help:

lol tank like that probably looks to be 3+wpg with a great amount of ferts/co2

But this shouldnt really stop you.. you can still grow nice plants with 1.8wpg, plus color max should be good for plants.

that will be real low light. you wont get the reds like are in that tank.

for $15-20 more they couldve gotten the coralife 65w. You can still have great looking plants but you will be limited on the ones to grow.

I have the light still in the packaging, so they can sell it... I think I'll call them tomorrow and see what they want to do.
