i'm goint to buy a new 100 gallon fish tank soon. I will be running 2 Ehiem 2217 filters on it with 2 emperor 400 filters on also. I now have 2 JD, 2 GT, 1 RD and 1 Oscar mixed in a tank with africans. I know this shouldn't be done but like I said that is why I'm buying the new tank. I know i'll have to get rid a few fish but i want to keep the meanest . which one can i keep?

Cut the "africans" out and you may be able to get away with it. Africans aren't a species btw, you really need to specify which ones. There are african cichlids from Lake Malawi, Tanganyanika (sp), Victoria, and all other kinds of water bodies in Africa. Saying "Africans" is like saying I'm gonna put some mixed south americans or Mixed central americans in my tank.

I have a 100 gallon tank already with africans and the south american cichlids. I'm going to buy another 100 gallon tank to seperate and but the above in. 1 tank is for the africans and the other will be for the above. what I want to know is will the set up I said work? :help:

will you get off teh african tank already. The africans are going to be in a tank by themselves. what I need to know about is the south and central american cichlids. will a 2 gt, 2 jd, oscar and a rd devil be ok in a 100 gallon tank with lots of decor? that's all i want to know.

NO!

there's your answer. Plain and simple.

The devil is going to make mince meat out of just about everyone.

You may end up with 2 or 3 living but the devil will make sure that it will be hell.

From an aggression stand point none of those other fish are in the same weight class. It would be like putting a middle weight boxer in with a Super heavy weight.

If you lose the devil it will still be cramped but at least there would be a better survival rate.
