Will two Seio 1100 pumps be enough?

Hey guys, ive got a 110 gallon high tank, with a 30 gallon sump. I currently only have two powerheads rated at 270 gph each, and a return pump from the sump rated at 1200 Gph.

Now im thinking of upgrading the two small pumps in the tank, as it not nearly enough. What im wondering is, will two Seio 1100 pumps be enough. Each one pumps 1100 GPH.

In total that would give me 3400 GPH, or roughly 31 times turnover.

Would the two seio pumps be enough though to create random flow in the tank, and kill any dead spots as well as keep the rocks clean by blowing off any debree??

Are they still rated for 1100GPH at the head you have?

And no, IME, in bigger tanks you need to have powerheads in a variety of places inside to keep the dead spots to a minimal. Trying to have all the water movement come from the returns isn't realistic.

Yes thats with head, but its 1000 with head, 1200 without.
 
The Seios are a good choice. They move a lot of water is a wide swath as oppsoed to small direct flow. I have 2 820's on my 75 and they move the water constantly without any dead spots. The seio's do not work well with wavemakers though so that is something to think about. I would couple them with a couple of maxijets on a wavemaker or think about spending the extra and going with a tunze stream..........

I thought about the tunzes, but id need two 6060, which would give 1500 GPH each, but cost $320 + tax, shipping etc. Way outa my budget. I know they are the king of powerheads, but money is an isue.

Anyways, i settled on two Seio pumps today. One M2600 (2600GPH) which i will place in the top left side glass throwing water across to the opposite end. And one M1100 which i will place on the middle right side glass also shooting to the opposte end. That should give me plenty of flow and kill any dead spots, as well as remove debree off the rock. In total, i know have 38-40 times turnover, much better as opposed to 15 times turnover where i had tons of debree setteling on my live rock.

Did i make the right choice guys by going with one 2600 GPH Seio and one 11 GPH seio??

Edit: Even the Tunxe steam 6060 and 6080 will not work on wavemakers. You have to go with the 6000 model or other which run at $300+ each.....

From all accounts that I've heard (people who own them and from what I've read), Seio's are great!

Im actually planning on buying 4 of the M2600 for my 200gal and I'm gonna grab one 1100 and one 820 for my 90gal.
