I recently bought some " Willow" moss from Aquabid.com. When I received the moss the other day, I couldn't tell what was. In my opinion, it looks an awful like Java moss. I would appreciate any other opinions concerning the mystery moss. By the way, here is a direct link to pictures of Willow moss, which I thought I was purchasing in the first place.

Here is what I received:

It looks like java moss to me. Have you tried to contact the seller to see what they have to say.

java moss, no doubt.

Did you pay by paypal? If so and the seller won't do anything for you, contact paypal and dispute the charge. The seller may ignore you, but once paypal freezes his/her account they should come around.

Yes. I have a PayPal account and recently had to use the dispute system with an Ebay auction. The seller mentions on the auction page that he is going on vacation so I will wait patiently. The ideal situation would to quickly send back the moss but I have no idea when the seller will be back home. Unfortuantely, I bought Java moss from the LFS last week and have enough of it from that purchase. I think it is fair to ask for a partial refund considering the circumstances. Here is a question:

I am keeping the moss in a 5 gallon plastic bucket, submerged in water. Will it be okay in the water for 10 days? Or shall I trash it?

if it gets light i bet it'll be fine. Javamoss seems to be pretty sturdy stuff.
