I recently read an article about how storms were nammed, I'll try n find it. Origionally they used only female names, then the womans rights activists said it was sexist, so they changed it to an alternating pattern of male/female. The names are set according to the alphabet, and are not changed unless a storm was "big" enough to be remembered. (E.g. Andrew, obviously Katrina will be retired at the years end.) Also, if the names run to the end of the alphabet, which is likely to happen this year, they go to using the letters of the greek alphabet. "Tropical storm Beta" he he, MQP your dagon fish are destructive.

Strange...

I've never met a woman named Wilma, until today! She complained that others were making fun of her and giving her "crossed fingers".. ..telling her to stay away.. All in sarcastic fun, of course..

Yeah, just think how women with the name Katrina feel. One person I know actually mouthed off about Katrina after it crossed Florida saying how nothing with her name could be destructive. That was before it hit the Gulf coast. She hasn't spoken as much since.(that's impressive for her)
