Okay, now that I'm in the right forum, I just planted a bronze crypt (I forget the scientific name) in my tank Saturday. It's started to really wilt today. I've read that some plants will melt when you replant them and then grow back just fine. Is that all that is happening? It's possible I may simply need to add ferts to the water, which I'll probably start doing tomorrow assuming that I decide I'm willing to give up on having shrimp if necessary.

Crypts are very prevalent on melting after moving them. The shoudl eventually grow back. Just don't disturb them.

I ordered some from ebay, all of which melted. One of them was nothing more than a gooey white blob. I left it floating in one of my tanks and it finally recovered after a couple of months. The others are all doing well.

This recently happened to me too. I've had mine in the same tank since March. The only thing I can think of is I recently added flourish iron to the tank while fertilizing. Does anyone know if too much iron will make them wilt. The rest of my plants are fine. And I should add that about 90% of the plant wilted. Only one leaf is left.
