Wisteria Turning Black

Adler, sometimes older leaves tend to get black beard alga...or just die as they adjust to your tank. The tops look healthy & happy, so wait a few weeks & snip off the pretty tops & replant. Toss the old "stumps".

If you have more issues, maybe start your own thread so we don't take away from tackful's. It sounds like "he" has a better grip on "his" problem, maybe diatoms?

Sounds like bba to me tackful...I thought you had this licked with dosing...but I'm really bad at that (oops). I'm getting a bit confused with your plants & Adler's...I'll look again in the morning....New pics?

Right now pictures would show healthy wisteria with no bba. My newest theory is that I somehow erred when mixing up my most recent bath of CSM+B. It turned out lighter in color than my usual mixture, and it does seem that bba problems began around the same time. The great improvement that double dosing of the new mixture has had is more evidence in that direction.

Well, that sounds good tackful! I may the worst fert doser of all time (or almost, lol)...I'm not judging you in any way. I am happy if your plants are looking better :) Please post up a pic when you can, we like to see!

Here are the pictures. Had to make a new CSM+B mixture yesterday, and found an old note or bottle label which further confirmed my suspicions. Shall now phase out the Excel dosing and see if tank stays healthy.
