As the title of this post suggests we are wondering if anyone can tell us what this might be. We have a 150 reef tank and on a daily basis have seen new what we believe to be snail eggs on the glass. We though this was great and still do. We have been seeing what we believe to be baby snails of a variety of sizes. Today we noticed the guy/gal in the attached picture. Not ever having witnessed the growth cycle of a snail before we know it may very well be one. However it doesn't seem to very closely resemble any of the snails we have (cerith, turbo, turbin, narrius, fighting conches). Anyone know what this might be?

Thanks in advance for whatever knowledge you can impart,

The clearer picture on the right makes it look like a baby abalone, maybe a Haliotis species.

i would guess abalone or possibly even a stomatela snail. either way, beneficial scavenger

Thank You

Thank you both for your input.

We hadn’t purchased either of the varieties mentioned, but we also didn't purchase any feather dusters or maidens hair and won't complain about those either. We are firm believers in whatever hitchhikers we get, so long as they don't outright destroy anything we are happy to have and will continue to enjoy watching them and try to keep them healthy and happy.
