Woohoooo

what is pearling?

Pearling is when your plants produce so much O2 that bubbles( look like pearls) form under the leaves. Excessive pearling will form a string of bubbles from the plant leaves to the water surface.

I get pearling after waterchanges but its due to the O2 levels in the new water and not my green thumb.

Pearling usually occurs with high light and CO2 injection.

I am getting it only after water changes too. At first I thought it was because after I did water change and put in a large amount of ferts, but then it became more apparent that it was just due to the water change. I have just upgraded my lighting to be getting on the high side but still no regular pearling. Next I got to get better CO2 injection as I think most all my bubles are going to the surface.
