They're the things commonly called "pond snails". :)

I remember now finding a few that looked slightly odd when I was dumping them in the pond. I just figured it was a birth defect or something though. lol
 
Oh okay. Mine have almost clear shells and almost transparent feet (foot). I really like them. Got'em from msjinkzd. :D
 
So.. are what you have Lymnaea stagnalis or just another species of Pond snail? I didn't think Lymnaea stagnalis were that common in the US.
 
Mine look like the picture above of the bladder snail, except some of them have transparent (pearly) shells and feet.
 
I was referring the question to the OP actually. But yeah, Bladder snails can be quite variable in color and transparency.

Hmm... Really, I don't know. They look exactly like the darker-shelled l. stagnalis photos I've found, but I don't know what's typically found in the US to compare it to.

Weird better describes the looks you get from family members when you run in the house all excited with a cup 'o snails, rambling almost incoherently about how awesome they are.
