Tank UPdates

tanks are doing good. Top tank is hitting somewhat of an algae phase, up'd the co2 and cut down on the lighting period. Not sure to dose more or less. Made a diy co2 reactor for the top also to bring up the co2.

On a good note spawning behavior like crazy with everyone up top. Need the plants to grow in more so the eggs/fry can make it though.

On a bad note found 2 alive pygmy cories in the fluval 404 today, 3 dead ones... =( no idea how they got in, the filter cover is tiny.

I bought a glass canopy off ebay for a 50gallon tank, it had the same measure measurements minus the center brace. I used 3 of the pieces for the top tank and 1 for the bottom tank. For 22shipped it was a cheap alternative, and it gives me coverage for both tanks.

don't mind the water marks lol they are so hard to get off even after 1 week of use.

Nice. I still have open tops on all of my 40b's so I was just curious which route you went. I almost bought some versa tops off of ebay but couldn't birng myself to spend so much on lids.

I may just get the dimensions and have HD or lowes cut me a few thin glass pieces.

redid alot of the tank but will be doing another rescape. All the first are doing well just added the pleco today. Kind of a rescue, hopefully my male bn will warm up to her. She did have a brown spot on her tail.
