Admittedly, after I saw the abbreviation BF (boyfriend), I initially assumed GF meant girlfriend.

I guess the filter trick° worked - I've only got 10ppm NO3 as of tonight - no NH3 or NO2.

° used a potscrubber from the bottom of Eheim to replace sponge in a sm. Hydor power head filter. Said potscrubber worked solo for 3 weeks and is now floating around while I break in a proper PH filter (larger Marineland PH/Sponge).
