Hello everyone I'm sure these questions have been posted before and seems redundant but I am looking for some tips.. I have some bristle worms that I have seen arouind the tank at night.. fair size around 4-5cm in length(as far as I have witnessed) I woke up one morning and my coral is missing a head.. I didn't think to much of it and the coral seemed healthy.. figured maybe it got hurt during some cleaning. well a week goes by and I wake up today to find 2 more heads missing.. The rest of the coral is expanded and looking extremily healthy.. I read that some fire worms etc will eat polyps and corals.. The thing is I really didnt think there were any in there.. my gf saw a big worm that we have not identified and that i have never seen or have yet to see in my tank. She described it as being a baige spikey worm.. not bristly like the usual worms.. It had spikes all over it and was about 4-6 inches according to her(she has seen the bristle worms before). what kind of worm could this be that is eating my corals? could anyone post some photos of coral eating worms so perhaps we can try to find this worm and remove it.
Second part of the question is how do you remove a worm.. I tried getting a little margarine contain with some holes around the sides and I put some brine shrimp and other goodies in it with some rocks to weigh it down.. never got touched.. Anyways if you have some ideas or pictures of worms that might be the culpurate please post!
