Worms in tank

I have them. They are completley harmless, just simple planaria. So you can probably conclude that those worms didn't kill your CRS.

I just had a bout with freshwater leeches. They are pretty elusive, hiding under things. They also attach with their tail sucker and stretch out and wave around, remaining anchored when there is any sort of disturbance. Mine hung out under a piece of driftwood. I nuked the tank with high salinity after throwing out the live plants. I am going to start all over again fresh with it. The few fish i had in it are in QT now.

Where is jinkz when you need her...

The real thin worms are detritus worms.

thread like? detritus worms maybe? the arrowhead are planaria...Whether or not planaria is harmful to shrimp is debated, some believe they "sting" the shrimp and can cause issues when they are in great numbers. I have seem them effect the health of snails. This is why I "preach" gravel vacs even in shrimp tanks since there is no predation for pesties.
