Worms on Glass?

Hey Everyone!

This is something I haven't seen before...

On my glass (in my RBP tank), are these worms. They live in what looks like a tube on the glass itself. They've been there for a few months, and so far, the fish seem none the worse for it. The ONLY thing I can think of, is that it's something from me feeding them bloodworms, but I seriously doubt that's the case.

I finally got a digicam (which is another reason why I haven't posted about this until now), so here are a few (poor) pictures of what I'm talking about.

Does anyone have ANY idea what I'm dealing with here?

Thanks so much!

I'd guess hyrda--if you look closely, you probably can see many small tentacles at the tip away from the glass. I'd reduce feedings--while hydra don't pose a threat to adult fish, they, like snails, are an indicator species. When populations swell, it means there is a lot of food available for them.

I don't know. I don't think they look like hydra. No clue myself, but the feeding advise is solid. Cut back feedings, more frequent water changes, reduce stocking blah blah blah (I'm sure you've heard it before.)

Well, they're not hydra, I know that much for sure...(thanks for the guess though!).

I'm not overstocked (2 baby RBP in a 20 Gallon), and I feed maybe 3 times a week...

This has me totally stumped...I've never seen anything like this before.
