Alright, so I've noticed a number of worm like things, resembling planaria hanging of some/all of my fishes caudal fins. I picked up some medication but I need some advice before I add it. Firstly, It would be nice to know I've even bought the right kind. Most of the treatments I saw had copper that would make the tank lethal to my snail (for as long as a month after the treatment), and wouldn't work on my corys anyway, and the corys are 4/5 of my fish.
I have mardel maracide. Any experiences? Advice? What medication(s) should I try if not this one? Suggest a few if you can, because my LFS probably won't carry the non common ones. I'm pretty sure what I have is anchor worms, unless there is another kind of worm that matches my description. THe disgusting little things seem to be moving from the end of the tail forward. There's no way for me to give a picture as I find it's hard enough to get the fish in focus, forget something really tiny on it's tail, that's pretty much the same color as the fish.
I have a betta which seems to not be bothered, and I'm not entirely sure if it has worms or not, but there's a good chance it does. There are also 4 albino corydoras, and an apple snail. This is a 10 gallon tank, pH: ~7.1, Ammonia: ~0.4 (yeah I know, it doesn't seem to want to go down), Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: ~5. Besides lowering my ammonia what should I do?
:help:
