I have been thinking and doing a lot more reading.
The tank is about 360 gallons.
I’m planning on going with about 1 ½ inches of sand in the tank.
Sump #1 130 gallon box 72x24x24
..2 Gravity fed bag filter 1 micron
..2 1,500 watt heater
..2 50 GPM at 12 foot head pump
..120 watt UV sterilizer (3 40 watt bulbs in series) on one pump
.. Jetstream 1 with PH controller
.. Nitrafilter
..Skimmer (still looking in to what kind I want)
Sump #2 130 gallon box 72x24x24
..Will be feed of sump 2 by gravity
..Will be set up like a refugium after about one month.
..Small pump to pump back in to sump #1
Sill looking in to more lighting, but thinking of just going with some low light corals.
100 lbs of base rock, and just getting some of the picked through live rock at LFS. I was talking to a few of the owners and the will set the old stuff no one has got pretty cheap. It’s not the best looking but it will help out on the start up cost.
I will order about 100 lbs Fiji and Haiti rock once I have it setup. I can cure it in the second sump.
