would like tips for beginner

I'm actually going to buy a 15-20 gallon, yay!

I did some research and I read that dwarf gouramis are very hard fish because they are fragile and that it's definetly not a fish for beginners because tey get sick and die very easily. :s Is it true?

they arent as demanding as say disus, but then again they arent as hardy as zebra dainos.
it aslo depends on where you get your fish. petsmart has not had very good luck with them lately, but they are starting to get better at keeping them healthy, but the best place to get them are non-nation-wide pet stores

yep. jm is right there. They shouldn't be too hard. Perhaps you should add your gourami last after your tank has settled for a month. If your water is good and your tank isn't over-stocked he should be fine. Personally I prefer to get pairs of such fish so they can play with each other and they are then more interesting to watch as well. So if you can fit them I'd get a pair. Get a 20G and you should be right with a few coris and neons with them. I would put the plants in first after a week, the neons in week two, coris in week 3 and the gouramis in week 4. This would b the safest thing to do imo.
