would my fish die?

Did you really do this?

That is morally wrong!

Just because they are alive doesn't mean you are doing a good job!

If you haven't already done something, do it and quick.

THey will die in i would say one day.

My guess is you didn't do anything or you just didn't get to them in time and they are all now dead.

SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

i currently have a 10 gallon with 2 small silver dollars 1 pleco and a CAE. im planning to move them to a 50 gallon because i had 4 glowlight 3 neon's a swordtail and 2 honey gourami's but i gave them to my friend who has a 75 gallon. if i get the 50 gallon can i put 2 silver dollars 1 oscar 1 pleco 1 jack dempsey and a albino iridescenth>?

Ok, I'm confused, you posted this earlier. So what is it? Do you or don't you have all these fish in a 10 gallon?

well, when they say common pleco it is actually referring to several species that have been piled into the common category. a 'comon pleco ' may only reach 10"(still too large for a 50 gallon. but it could alos reach over 19" way too big for a 50.

I hesitate to say that someone is morally wrong , without knowing the circumstances. as we are all well aware..there is a lot of misinformation out there being given to people who start an aqaurium.

it is what they do once they discover the mistake that would dictate if they are morally wrong.
in this case many of us raise fish as pets..other may raise them as food. is that immoral?
lets get the facts first.

after all in the United States we are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

If I were you I would not say something like this if my tank was over stock at the time also, maybe they just got bad info from somebody who knows but be respectful when giving out advice.

Can you even physically fit that many fish in that small of tank? It seems like you would be stacking them one on top of another--fish pile! Sort of like playing sardines--but with poor fishies. Perhaps you could see if a LFS could take the excess fish in for credit towards that larger tank--then you could move up the rest of the fish.

ever see how many feeders they keep in some tanks at the lfs?

I think this is why people hesitate to post here because they are afraid of getting their head bit off for asking for help. That is why they are asking and they need honest advice and help, not made to feel like they are satan's spawn! :mad2:

Also, if anyone wants polite, honest, and caring advice try aquariumboard or chataquariums. You can get the help you need without being made to feel like an evil idiot. ;)
