Would this be too much?

No QT tank? *scolds*

Depends on your biological filteration and how "mature" the tanks in question are. Mature meaning that the biofilter has been established for quite some time and is able to adjust to a large change in load.

I put 24 juvenile rainbowfish in my 36g (serving as a QT at the time) and didn't get a burp, however the tank has a Penguin 330 and is a mature tank.

Nah I'm undecided on quarantining them..I'll probably lose some because they like established tanks.. Also, I just thought of something. Would the Balas eat them?? I know they can eat Neons, but they can't eat Cardinals, could they eat Harlequins? They have very tiny mouths btw.
