Hello to all,

Can anyone tell me if this light would actual work on a 29gallon saltwater tank with soft coral in it.

Let me know,

Ryan

Before you spend $65 on it...

LOA 65 watt CF fixtures. They tend to be rather unreliable, and get pretty hot if ran for long periods of time. But they can work great for people on smaller budgets. Ive used quite a few of them to light refugiums and what not.

The 500 watt nonsense is comparing the 65 watt compact fluorescent bulb to a 500 watt incandescent bulb.

just go with flourecent lighting. It is cheap, easy to run and cheap on electricity. I have 3 lengths of my tank and I keep LPS and SPS. Everyone says it should not work but it does! You don't need all this fancy MH stuff unless your either really hard core or you have alot of money. Just keep the more sensitive stuff near the top. It is the best to buy the flourecent holders are everything at hardware stores and just buy the real aquarium light sticks.

What hes looking at is a flourescent light. Its a compact spiral fluorescent.

ok? I would have to give absolute prais to my light but ofcourse MH are a mile better. But if you only want to keep LPS then it should be fine.
