Just upgraded to a 150gal with the following stock:
15 tiger barbs
1 leporinus
1 rainbow shark
1 pleco
1 african butterflyfish
3 Angels

Filtration with dual xp2s, fake plants, black sand substrate with plenty of hiding/cover provided w/rocks and plants.

If possible, I'd like to add a Blood parrot to this mix. Is this possible or no? I can't get over how fun these fish are to watch in the store.

Hmm....I don't know about how aggressive parrot cichlids are (they seem harmless and adorable to me) but I've been told a single parrot requires an 30 gallon tank. :)
 
I'm pretty sure my tank and filtration is adequate, I guess I should list some parameters, water is always in tiptop shape (weekly water changes), I just acquired this from a friend of mine with established filter media so it is essentially already cycled (and the tests seem to demonstrate this). PH is at 7, temp at 80deg.

I'm more concerned about aggression and whether or not it can get along with the other species in the tank. Looking at the shape of it's mouth I'm not too worried about it eating my tiger barbs (also in their large school) but just wanted to be sure
 
This is just one source but:

BR Parrots are a shy fish that is timid but will acclimate to a community tank very nicely. They learn to recognise their owners and will come to the front of the tank to greet them. They do love to have their own clay pots or caves to hide in and I would recommend caves in their tanks. They seem to have so much fun swimming in and out of the caves. I find these fish to be very playful and they interact very well with each other and with dither fish as they swim around the tank. I would recommend them for anyone with a tank large enough who would like a peaceful set up with active fish.

BR Parrots are compatible with many fish such as mid size Tetras, Giant Danios, Cory Cats, or any catfish, Plecos, Kribs, Severums and Angel Fish. Convicts are a good choice as well, but be careful of any aggressive issues and the possiblity of a spawn between these two species.

I think your main concern is going to be that the Blood Red Parrots are semi-territorial. How big are the Tiger Barbs? If they are decent sized, they should be able to hold their own. Out of your stock list, the tigers would be my only concern depending on their size. :)

yep it can be nasty some times
but it all depends on the fish and your tank set up
 
barbs are all near full grown, 2-3 inches, I think their school size should be ok. Observing them in the tank I really can't imagine them being a problem, I'm pretty sure the rainbow shark and leporinus will have no problem. Everything is still young, and the tank has very recently been established so no territories to mess with. Looks like I'm going with it, thanks everyone!
