Ok last night I went to the local Pet smart to exchange an item, which they did not have, so instead I exchanged for some angel fish they had on sale. While I’m there, I wait my turn while this other couple picks out a pleco and a cory, from overhearing they just want a sucker fish and a single cat fish to clean their tank..GRRRR.

Ok so its is not my turn, I pick out my four small angels and debate getting another cory to add to the group I have, and what happens the casher brings the fish back to the fish area, these people spent a while picking out 2 fish just to decided the cashier was taking too long and just left the fish on to counter and walked out the store. So I took home the cory they bagged up, along with my angels, unfortinaly I let them put the pleco back cause he would not have been happy in my tank.

I am annoyed that these people did this but I'm happy the fish did not go home to the neglectful fish people.

I guess thats their right as consumers, but at least they left the fish in the store...

True but I just think they could have handled it better, changing you mind is no big deal, but they chose to pick up a live pet, they could have taken it back to where i would have been imidatly delt with, not granted these where delt with immediatly, but on the other hand in a worse case they where where they could have been over looked.

It is inconsiderate to the fish and store employees

rather than neglecting them at home.

I agree...they cory they picked out is very happy in my 55 gal with my 6 other corys

I go to a small LFS in the area. very knolegable staff, dealing with anything marine and reef related. Most of the time, there's only 1 or 2 employees in the store.

When I go there, I know I'll be spending at least an hour there, waiting for the employee to finish helping out and advising whoever was there before me.

Having that mindset, i know not to get bothered by it.

There's so much patience involved in this hobby.

in this particular situation, the employee should be happy that he prob. won't have to deal with that couple ever again!! ;)

that would be nice but unlikely, petsmart is now our only place to get fish in our town, thank goodness, our local walmarts quit selling fish, but petsmart put our LFS out of buisness in our small town

Ditto Cheech. my LFS only 1 employee at a time lol. So I really gotta wait. But I look at tanks to pass the time.
