Just wanted to see if anyone else is playing World of Warcraft. I haven't settled into a particular server yet, but I have a human priest on Garona.

I'm curious if there are gamers floating around on the AC boards.

nerd alert!

nah, im jk, im guilty as charged anyways. Not much of a warcraft player, i used to play starcraft, now a days its generally DoD, HL, or battlefield 1942 (or whatever the name is)

I've been playing the euro beta for awhile now, so I know my way around. But thanks anyways for the links Geoff. I wouldn't have guessed you played, dunno why I suppose.

I played this mmrpg for years (mostly cause its free) i still drop in every now and then, but it depresses me to think of how many MONTHS of my life i spent on there, some players are up to years of gametime, So even though WoW looked awesome i have no intention of getting involved.

Oh ME ME! I'm on Eonar (East Coast PvE). I've started several characters trying to decide what I want to stick with, so I'm not very high yet. My current main is a lvl 13 Gnome Warrior. I've been spending most of my time on trade skills lately rather than leveling. I've got Engineering at 127, fishing at 180ish, and mining and the other secondaries around 100.

cg as a warrior why would you pick up fishing?
Fun and easy money. The other day I went to Menethil Harbor, fished for an hour or two, and caught serveral stacks of fish (cooked what I could), a variety of scrolls, some vender-fodder weapons, and two irridescent pearls. As an engineer, I'm chronicly poor. So fishing income is very welcome. Booty Bay should be restocked at the next content patch, and I'd like to have my skill capped at 225 or at least close by then.

I loved fishing in FFXI too. It was a nice distraction from grinding. That's not nearly as big an issue in WoW, but I still enjoy it. Now if only they would let me use my crafted dynamite and copper bombs to fish...

fair enough....although I find I can get more sellable goods by just killing things and completing quests. I do fish as well but find it pales in comparison to the booty I get.

I wonder if they will ever get a "tree cutting" skill so hunters can make arrows/bows.
Thats the only thing you can't make in this game and its a PIMA cuz I enjoy being a hunter/archer...plus there are like zero upgraded arrows or bows...sucks...

They almost have to add a woodworking tradeskill. There is certainly demand for it. I wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't show up until the first expansion though. I could see it being introduced along with player/guild housing. That would create a market for furniture in addition to bows, arrows, bolts, fishing poles, staves, firewood, etc.
