WPG Question

I have a 30 gallon hex with an amazon sword. I read that amazon swords need about 3 wpg, but I only have a 15 watt light. I've been keeping the sword for a couple weeks and the plant seems to be okay, it's growing new leaves and some of the older leaves are slowly turning brown. Is my sword going to be okay with the lighting that I'm using or would I need more wpg?

yes, you'll need more light. 15w is barely enough light for any plant. upgrade to 2 wpg, if possible.

15 watts / 30 gallons =.5 wpg = No light.


This is not even enough to grow low light plants.
