Hi all, I'm looking to stock a Mini-bow 2.5g with a few Boraris brigittae and however many RCS will fit comfortably (if at all). I'd love to have the tank planted, but need to first figure out which plants would work best in a said environment. I mainly just need to know who all is selling so once my tank is established, I could go ahead and make the necessary purchases. Please feel free to PM me if you have any b. brigittae available! Thanks in advance!

Msjinkzd has B. brigittae in stock, last time I looked. Go to the Vendor forum and look under Invertebrates by Msjinkzd. I purchased 60 of the little guys from her, and they are gorgeous and healthy. I've had mine for over a year, now.

I think the thread will be "Stock List" or something like that.

She always has the best livestock: healthy and beautiful! I know there are other vendors here, but I haven't had the pleasure of doing business with any of the others for livestock yet; I have ordered plants from others. :)

Thank you so much for the reply! I checked her personal site to see what was currently available and her B. brigittae were out of stock =/ She does have the B. naevus though, but I had my heart set on the other little guys =(

How many do you think would be able to fit in a planted 2.5g?

I may have some. I keep forgetting which Boraris I have. In either case, for a 2.5 gal tank I would say no more than 4, granted it is filtered well. Yes they are very small but a 2.5 gal tank is hard to keep a lot of animals in only because it only takes a little bit to throw off such a small volume of water.

If you have the space for it, I would suggest a 10 gallon tank with RCS and you can fit 10-20 easy. At one point I had about 35 with my shrimp. It felt like there was still more space but they had beautiful shoals.

Best of luck and I hope you find what you are looking for!

That sounds pretty reasonable, I don't intend to have a large group until I get my 5g from my parent's home. I honestly don't enjoy the cleanup of a 10g lol, though. The tank is only meant to be a nice accent for my bedside table (moved to the corner nearest my computer desk) for a calming effect.

martialtheory, do you think you'd be willing to part with 4 B. brigittae in the near future? Thank you for your help & suggestions though!

I don't mind selling you some of mines the only problem is that I don't know which one I have anymore. I have to go home and check. I am away from home right now. I was going to sell off some of my fishes anyway, I just have way too many animals.

I think you can manage as long as you keep the tank well filtered.

Ah, ok sounds like a plan then. Well, if you don't mind keeping in touch with me until you can double check I'd greatly appreciate that. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link Mgamer20o0! Googled all the other names (Mosquitio Ras, B. brig) except that one x.x lol..
