WTB: FW Sand

I am looking for sand for a ray tank. Please pm me if you know where I can get some or if you have some.

Just normal sand for a FW? Going to Lowes is your best bet.

For a ray I've heard pool filter sand works well--it is fine enough for them but doesn't compact as much as play sand. You can buy a fifty pound bag at any pool supply store--just look one up in the phone book. I bought one there, and it was quite easy. I had to ask them for it, but they didn't even bat an eye and asked me how many bags I wanted and hauled them to the car for me.

Lowes sells play sand it I found it to be way to much work to wash it. I went to a pool store already and they only had number 20 silica sand, which I have heard can not be used with rays because it will scratch their belly. Any other sources?

I have a 5 gallon bucket (almost full) you can come have. It's the same pool filter sand that I use for my ray.

It's used, so it may need to be rinsed a little.
