There's a guy on Aquabid by the name of Mike Whiteaker who breeds GBR's. Actually longfinned GBR's.

Just awesome fish. I have/had two pair. I stoopidly left the top open after a water change and lost one female.

I work in Parsippany and drive the whole length of Route 15/206 on my way home. I've been waiting to order another female and another pair from him, but the weather's been a little rough lately. I got my 2 pair in January during a little warm spell. Let me know if you want to order some and we can split shipping or sumthin.

I've seen German blues in Petsmart and Petco, but they sell out fast, and they don't live long(Due being in the wrong temp and are to young). But ordering them on Aquabid is your best bet for healthy german blues.

my LFS has some, i just do not want to drop 20 per fish.

But with shipping, it would be more like $15. The auction is just out there as an example.

I've seen rams sell for $8 and I've seen them for $18. In the end, Petco fish come from the same place as the LFS get them, and Rams don't have the best track record from LFS.

My LFS does quarantine before sale so the chance of healthy fish is always good.

I seen some at my LFS, but they were ballon bodied. But Germen Blues need a high temp. I love these fish, but I can't keep them cause my tank goes up t0 78, any higher i'd kill my pleco and kuhlis. :[
