hey,
my pepperd cory swims casually along the bootom, then all of a suddden without warning he just swims fast as up to the top and launches out of the water, lands back in and continues feeding as if nothing had happend.
its really quite funny

no he is with 2 others and soon to be 5 others,
he is so cute i luve him. it looks funny as cos he fully leaps out of the water and as he lands all bubbles follow him in

The dash to the surface is to grab a bubble of air. They can extract oxygen from it in their intestines. Watch closely next time he does it - on the way back down he'll fart out the bubble he'd grabbed the time before.

Yep, corys and plecos are known to do this.

Its funny, like you guys stated, how some of them do it. My green cory's make a mad dash to the top, hit the surface, and drop down. One of my albino's makes a mad dash to the top, then about 2'' away from the top he goes into snail speed and kisses the air, then slowly decends.
