WTF is with this water?

By poser I hoep you mean the sand? Ya makes a cichlid tank look nice.
No, "poser" as in conumdrum. Problem. It's a Brit/Canuck term

never mind i called Jose my LFS guy and asked him what the hell was happening. He said you got a bacteria bloom cuz you added too much fish. Even though your cycles is done the bacteria colonies need to catch up. He also said try not to use chems like Cycle, because it would have been much better 2 weeks ago when you started it.
Actually, Cycle wouldn't have helped much at all. It doesn't have all the necessary bacteria for FW colonization and those that it does have are most likely dead since the product is not refridgerated. The only product that currently contains the correct ones is Bio Spira.

So I thank you guys for your troubles and my self idiotism ( is that even a word?). So I will just wait this out for a week and a half or so.

I guess I forgot you could still get a bacteria bloom.
Hah. Yer not an idiot at all. You obviously have the smarts to find out what your problem was :)

I'm somewhat new to fish tanks, but one thing I noticed about mine is my airstone fills the water with tiny bubbles.

I'm not talking about the obvious ones coming out of it, but REALLY TINY ones that are all over the tank. Looks like my water is filled with dust. Only by looking at them REALLY close can you tell they are actually itty-bitty bubbles.

Try turning off the airstone for 10 minutes (if you have one) and see if they clear up. If I do that, my tank turns crystal clear.

No man, wat your talking about is when a small bubble or two get sucked up by the filters intake. The impellor splits the bubbles and makes a fine mist. This is just milky water
